UPDATE 4/3

It's April - and we have a little over two weeks to go.  The weather has been fantastic for running the last week, and a few more people have gone out and tested themselves against themselves.  I (Joe) have done a fair amount of running hard for no reason by myself, and I sometimes forget how difficult it really is.  In most races, there are other people to try to beat, or to talk to, or maybe it's even positive vibes from the life force of other humans near you ☮🌈🦄.  I don't know, but it's a different challenge.  Now listen while I get philosophical as HECK:

It makes sense that during a time of forced solitude, you'd also be forced to grind out a 5k on your own.  We're probably all adjusting to being inside our own head a lot more - and thinking about some bigger stuff than the usual daily routine or upcoming events.  Perhaps it's a chance to purge the new mental strain, or maybe it's simply a new way to add your metaphysical arsenal of running abilities.  I am out of big college words now.

So here's the total results as of today.  Still not a lot of participants all together, but a number of multi-tryers, and a few people have told me they are waiting to do it later, which is great.  Some people have been eerily silent about their non-racing (Ben and Trey)

Some more stuff:

as usual - email bluestemtrackclub@yahoo.com with a screen shot of your route, name, age, and anything else fun you can think of.

also, send an email or FB message if you want a cheering section, aid station or inspiration message chalked on the street.  These are all available free of charge around the 3/4 mile mark.

Get out there (alone) and be tuff.
