UPDATE 3/20

It's the end of the first week - and here's what we have:

3 runners have submitted a time:

Krista Caffey - 33:26
Mitzi Frieling - 33:26
Mary Scharfe - 33:26

Either this was a super tight battle to the finish - or they ran together and this is just alphabetical order.  Either way they are leading their age groups and the female overall right now.

Here are some things to think about:

If you run pretty soon -
-maybe you're in good shape now and aren't sure how much you'll be able to train in the near future
-you're sure you're going to wind up quarantined and want to get it in
-you're sure the whole country is going to wind up locked in their houses and if you run before that you'll beat everyone who waited

If you wait till the last minute -
-you've got something to train for
-you're sure this whole thing will blow over soon (I hope to hell you're right)
-you want to try a bunch of times*

*upon further consideration - if you want to run the race every day and submit each time - go ahead - I can sift through the emails and put up your fastest time at the end.

SOME OTHER STUFF:

There will be a special non-award for completing the "Covid-19 Miler Challenge". Which means - run the course 6 times and a lap around the mall for (about) 19 miles.  Submit your times the same way as for the regular 5k.  If you need an aid station for the 19 miler, email me before you run it, and I'll set one up in my yard.

WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR TIMES:

give me -

- NAME
- AGE
- TIME
- PICTURE OF GPS DATA
- SELFIE FOR THE FB GROUP (if you want)
- WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT (I'm pretty stressed out)

Thanks - hope to not see you out there!
